My paintings are what I call modern impressionistic. They feature loose strokes, rich thick colors, and bright light sources to emphasize a figure in motion or a strong mood, created with the fewest number of strokes possible, well thought-out and carefully placed. My goal is not to create photographically realistic images, but to emphasize an action or to evoke a mood which strikes a strong chord with the viewer.
I have had the privilege of studying with some wonderful artists, among them being Harley Brown, Doug Dawson, Kim English, Joni Falk, Daniel Greene, Chauncey Homer, Hedi Moran, Ron Riddick, and Phil Starke.
